KATHMANDU: The National Assembly Chairperson election has been scheduled at 1:00 pm on March 14.

The National Assembly meeting held today set the date with reference to National Assembly Interim Working Procedure 2074, Clause 6 (1).

The meeting was chaired by the assembly's senior most member Tara Devi Bhatta.

Mohan Prasad Bhattarai, general secretary of the federal parliament will publish the election schedule.

The meeting formed the National Assembly regulating act drafting committee comprising nine members following recommendations by Khimlal Bhattarai.

The said nine members are - Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Parsuram Meghi Gurung, Dil Kumari Rawal, Surendra Raj Pandeya, Radheshyam Adhiari, Dinanath Sharma, Jeevan Buda, Brishesh Chandra Lal and Pramali Kumari Rai.
