NRA issues 28-point declaration

KATHMANDU: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) on Saturday issued a 28-point declaration to accelerate the post-earthquake reconstruction works.

The declaration was unveiled after the consultations with the representatives of local levels in 14 quake-hit districts. As per the declaration, the salaries of the technicians would be sent in the local levels.

Likewise, the best performer local levels and officials in the reconstruction bids would be prized and the affected families would get chance to build their houses in the local level of the neighbouring districts if the affected communities were not able to rebuild their houses in the previous site.

Similarly, the banks are supposed to deposit the amount in the accounts of the beneficiaries within two days once the institutions got the cheques.

Chief Executive Officer of the NRA Yubraj Bhusal asked the local levels and officials to work seriously to ensure permanent housing to more than 80 of the quake-hit household.
