NC central working committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress, the main opposition party in parliament, is convening a meeting of its central working committee today to discuss the contemporary political situation.

The meeting has been called for 3:00 pm at the party's central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur. The meeting shall also deliberate on internal topics of the party, party spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma was quoted as saying in Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

He said the meeting will also form a party statute amendment drafting committee and also discuss on mobilising the party's internal organisation.

Other topics relating to the rejection of Deepak Raj Joshi as Chief Justice by the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee and the party being compelled to boycott the parliament meeting some days back as NC lawmakers were not allowed to ask questions to the Home Minister, among others, are also likely to be discussed in the meeting.
