NC to hold convention inaugural at Dasharath Stadium
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has chosen the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor of the Capital, to inaugurate its upcoming general convention.
The biggest political party in the Legislature-Parliament and now the main opposition is going to hold its 13th general convention on March 3-6.
"The Stadium has already been booked for the convention," shared Bhimsen Das Pradhan, President of the NC Kathmandu chapter.
Arguably the biggest and oldest stadium in the country, the Dasarath Stadium has been opted for the event as many parts of Tundikhel, probably the biggest public field in the Capital, has been stuffed with the debris of the April 25 earthquake, President Pradhan told the Rastriya Samachar Samiti.
The closed session of the convention, however, will be held in Bhrikutimandap, it was shared.
The NC Central Working Committee has formed 13 sub-committees to oversee and manage the upcoming convention, which is likely to elect a new leadership for the Party.
The Party had organised the 12th general convention in Tundikhel.
