NC to play role of mediator to settle existing problem, says Paudel

KATHMANDU: Vice-President of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Paudel, has said that his party would play a role of mediator among the government, Madhes-centric political parties and the neighbouring country.

Speaking at a Deusi Bhailo programme organised by the Reporters' Club on Wednesday morning at his residence at local Bohoratar, Poudel said that the country should be taken ahead through consensus and collaboration.

Stating that the NC was involved to settle the existing problem, he said that genuine demands of Madhes should be addressed by amending the new constitution as the erstwhile NC-led government has already tabled the amendment proposal in the parliament.

The NC officiating President said that they would hold discussion with the Madhes-based political parties as the NC had started revolution from the Madhes in 2007 BS.

He further said that the country should be taken ahead by launching economic revolution.
