KATHMANDU: Top leaders of Nepali Congress, UCPN-Maoist and United Democratic Madhesi Front on Saturday held tripartite talks in a bid to solve the ongoing political unrest.

The leaders gathered at NC President Sushil Koirala's residence in Maharajgunj for the talks.

Earlier, the main opposition NC had held separate talks with UCPN-Maoist and the Madhesi Front.

Leaders of the NC and UCPN-Maoist had claimed that they forged an agreement to hold talks with the Front with a common view.

While, Koirala had reached Maoist party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence in Lazimpat for a meeting this morning, he had consulted Madhesi leaders in the afternoon.
