NC working committee meeting underway in Baluwatar

KATHMADNU: As Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led CPN Maoist Centre announced to forge alliance with CPN-UML and Naya Shakti Party for the upcoming polls, the Nepali Congress working committee members are holding a meeting to discuss the recent political development and their next step for the provincial and parliamentary elections.

Organising a meeting at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, the committee members are discussing to form federal alliance with Rastriya Janata Party Nepal, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, National Democratic Forum among others to gain upper hand in the upcoming elections.

The meeting has concluded that the leftist alliance would affect the full implementation of Constitution.

The NC has also decided to hold meeting with other fringe parties at 4:30 pm in Baluwatar to invite them to join the Deuba-led government.

NC senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel, NC Chief Whip Chinkaji Shestha, leaders Bimalendra Nidhi, Sujata Koirala, Prakash Man Singh and Ram Sharan Mahat among others are present in the meeting.
