NCP spokesperson Gyawali urges leaders to reunite

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has urged the leaders of the NCP Dahal-Nepal fraction to return to the party's mainstream.

Speaking at a programme organised by the party's cultural wing in the capital today, leader Gyawali who is also the Minister for Foreign Affairs, said the government took a right move by announcing the dates for the elections.

He further expressed optimism that the Supreme Court would give a verdict in favour of the government regarding the dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR).

Likewise, NCP Standing Committee Member and newly appointed minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation Mani Thapa said NCP Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal took a wrong decision by breaching the principle of consensus in the party.

The chief of the party's cultural wing and central committee member Khagendra Rai argued that all the progressive artistes and writers have backed the mainstream party.
