KATHMANDU: The 13th general convention of the Nepali Congress is likely to be postponed.

During a meeting of the office bearers of the party held at the Constituent Assembly building in New Baneshwor today, discussions were held by focusing the general convention.

Earlier, the NC had decided to hold its 13th general convention from September 19 to 22.

The party drew the conclusion that the general convention could be postponed due to lack of preparations as the entire attention of the party has been focused in the constitution writing process.

After the meeting, NC Vice-President Ram Chandra Paudel said that the decision of holding the general convention should be reviewed as all party leaders were engaged in constitution writing.

The meeting also decided to hold discussion with all lawmakers regarding constitution writing and delineation of the federal states.

Paudel further said that discussions were also held for calling party's Central Working Committee meeting.
