KATHMANDU: Constituent Assembly Chairperson Subas Chandra Nembang, who wanted to meet President Ram Baran Yadav on Monday evening, could not do so, as his appointment time clashed with President’s scheduled meeting with Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.

The CA chair wanted to extend an invitation to the President to make announcement of the commencement of the new constitution on September 20. President’s Press Adviser Rajendra Dahal said the CA chair wanted to meet the President at 7:00pm but the Office of the President had already scheduled his meeting with PM Sushil Koirala at Shital Niwas.

“There is no question of turning down CA chair’s request for a meeting,” he added. Nembang said he would meet President at 9:00am on Tuesday. PM Koirala’s meeting with the President, however, could not take place on Monday evening.
