Nepal Army announces scholarship for 'miracle boy'
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army has announced to provide scholarship to a boy who was rescued by NA personnel after 22 hours of the devastating earthquake on April 25 last year.
The NA will sponsor education of Sonish Awal of Bhaktapur Muldhoka from class six to Bachelor's level at the Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya in Sallaghari of Bhaktapur.
The decision was announced by Chief of the Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri in a special programme organised at the Jungi Adda on the occasion of the anniversary of the devastating quake.

Upto grade five, Sonish will be admitted to a school chosen by his parents (Shyam and Rasmila Awal) with regular stipend and free textbooks provided by the NA.
Sonish was rescued 22 hours later from the rubble of own house destroyed by the earthquake.
