Nepal Gazette submitted

KATHMANDU: The Office of the Attorney General on Friday submitted the copy of the Nepal Gazette that has printed the notification about the HoR dissolution.

The notification was posted on the website of the Department of Printing on Thursday. Information Officer of Department of Printing Padma Raj Pathak said two rules applied in the notification published in the gazette.

“Often the rule is that a decision taken by the government does not take effect unless it is published in the gazette, but sometimes the government’s decision takes effect even before it is published in the gazette,” he added. It was not unusual for the government to send the government’s decision for printing in the Nepal Gazette after the work has already been completed.

Deputy Attorney General Padam Prasad Pandey said the dissolution notice was issued in the additional papers of gazette and there was no violation of law. The law does not say that dissolution order should be published in Nepal gazette, he argued.
