Nepal-India think tank summit

Kathmandu, July 30

Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs and Nehru Memorial Museum Library is hosting Nepal-India Think Tank Summit-2018 in Kathmandu tomorrow.

The major objective of the daylong event is to bolster networks and mutual understanding between the two countries through institutional collaboration on resources sharing for joint events/publications among think-tanks of the two countries, according to a media advisory issued today by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.

The event will bring together think tank experts, policymakers and leaders from political and civil society of the two countries.

The summit will dwell on issues related to Nepal-India ties and issues emerging at regional and international levels.

Some of the participants in the event include former prime minister and Nepal Communist Party Co-chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, former chairperson of Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi, former finance minister Surendra Pandey, and NCP leader Rajan Bhattarai.

Other participants are Bhartiya Janata Party National General Secretary Ram Madhav and India’s Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri.
