Nepal recorded 157 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 827,058 while the death toll climbed to 11,583 fatalities today. Meanwhile, one fatality was reported on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 810,497 with 226 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 6,447 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 4,283 were PCR tests while 2,164 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,813,350 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 10 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 167.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 4,978.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Friday, Nepal had witnessed 237 cases of the respiratory infection while one person succumbed to the disease during the same period.
