Dispute defers Nepal Students Union closed session

KATHMANDU: Closed session of the Nepal Students Union 11th generation convention, earlier scheduled to begin on Monday, has been put off for Tuesday, citing "technical reasons."

The session would begin at 2 pm tomorrow, according to a statement issued by the NSU.

The statement said the closed session was deferred as disputes arose in names of representatives from some districts and campus committees.

Earlier, the session was scheduled to conclude tomorrow after electing a new leadership. After the postponement of the closed session, the convention is almost certain to continue for next few days.

The convention of the Nepali Congress students union had kicked off in the Capital on Sunday.
