‘Nepal wants to benefit from China’s immense capacity’
Kathmandu, July 3
The Embassy of Nepal in Beijing participated in the ‘ 2017 China International Food Safety Technology and Innovation Expo’ and National Tourism, Cuisine and Cultural Promotion Day of Belt and Road Countries’, which concluded today.
The programme was organised by China Economic Net and co-organised by Economic and Commercial Counselors Alliance in China. Nepali Ambassador to China Leela Mani Paudyal, said Mt Everest, panoramic Himalayas, the birthplace of Shakyamuni Buddha and China having 30 million Buddhist believers, Nepal’s unique topography, diversity and rich cultures, among others are some reasons for Chinese tourists to visit Nepal. He thanked the organisers for providing opportunity to the Embassy for showcasing its culture and tourism products among visitors of the Expo, stated a press release issued today by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing.
He opined that Nepal as a part of Belt and Road Initiatives of China, wants to get benefit from China’s immense capacity and technological know-how. Long Wen, who scaled Mt Everest this year, shared his experience and highlighted the beautiful scenario that nature has endowed Nepal with.
