KATHMANDU: The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, on Monday formed various committees to prepare for and organise its 13th national general convention.

The party has scheduled to hold the gala from March 3 to 6 in the Capital.

According to the party's Chief Secretary Rishikesh Tiwari, the party formed 13 committees for the convention.

The newly formed committees and their coordinators are listed below:

• Main Preparation Committee: President Sushil Koirala
• General Convention Management Committee: Kathmandu District President Bhimsen Das Pradhan
• Police and Programme Proposal Committee: Vice-President Ram Chandra Paudel
• Statute Amendment Committee: Ananda Prasad Dhungana
• Fund Collection Committee: Ram Sharan Mahat
• Food and Residence Management Committee: Bal Bahadur KC
• Foreign Delegates Welcome and Management Committee: Sujata Koirala
• Publicity Committee: Minendra Rijal
• Stage Management Committee: Nabindra Raj Joshi
• Health Committee: Sashanka Koirala
• Cultural Committee: Mina Subba
• Volunteers Management Committee: Narayan Koirala
• Election Committee: Radheshyam Adhikari
