NFDN defends charges

Kathmandu, April 17:

National Federation of Disabled - Nepal (NFDN) has defended the corruption charges against it at the CIAA by Rukmangat Nyaupane.

Birendra Raj Pokharel, president of NFDN said the Federation did not accept the leadership of Tulasi Banskota, an official of Social Welfare Council, under whose direction the probe committee was formed to investigate the charges levelled against the NFDN.

“We refused to cooperate with him as it was against the natural principal of justice. Banskota is the same person who filed case against me at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu. I cannot expect him to be impartia,” he argued.
