NHRC complains of non-implementation of recommendation
KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has complained of non-implementation of its recommendations to the government.
NHRC had recommended the government to prioritise construction of buildings for essential services as health and to make the buildings disabled-friendly.
The government was also urged to reconstruct the quake-damaged historic, religious and cultural infrastructures keeping their originality intact.
But the government failed to fully abide by the recommendations, the NHRC asserted.
Information Officer at NHRC Tika Pokhrel shared that there was weak implementation of the NHRC recommendations.
The implementation rate was only 12 per cent.
