KATHMANDU: As many as nine persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in gambling from a house at Sarswotinagar in Bouddha, of Kathamandu Metropolitan City-6 on Thursday.

According to police, Shyam Maharjan (54) and eight others were caught red-handed from the house belonging to Maharjan.

Police also seized Rs 76,095 cash and four decks of cards from the gambling site.

Meanwhile, police said further investigation into the case is underway.
