NPC joint secretary gets Award of Excellence in Korean university
KATHMANDU: Joint Secretary of the National Planning Commission Jaya Narayan Acharya received the ‘Award of Excellence’ for his outstanding academic achievement as a graduate of Seoul National University in South Korea this week.
Acharya had completed his Masters in Public Administration from the university recently with an excellent score.
The university's Dean of the Graduate School of Public Administration, Dongwook Kim, honoured Acharya with the award amid a ceremony at the university on August 29.
Acharya went to Seoul National University in Korea through the Global Masters’ Programme Fellowship provided by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
KOICA’s fellowship programme supports human resource development in partner countries and plays a critical role in narrowing the knowledge gap between developed and developing countries, the bilateral agency informed in a statement today.
Every year, KOICA sends more than 100 government officers in the short-term fellowship programme in various sectors like health, education, information communication technology and rural development among others.
