NRNs seek inclusive CA
Kathmandu, April 30:
Non-resident Nepalis (NRNs) have called on the government, parliament, Madheshi Janadhikar Forum, CPN (Maoist) and international organisations, including the UN, to ensure proportional representation of all sections of the society in the constituent assembly.
In a white paper, the NRNs have called for the resolution of problems of Madhes.
According to Dhirendra Premarshi, the Nepal representative of the Association of Nepali Taraian in America (ANTA), the white paper has expressed concern about government indifference towards problems of the Madhesis, Indigenous Nationalities, Dalits and women.
The paper has also called on the government to fix the date for the CA polls after holding consultations with the agitating parties, prevent avoid infiltration of unwanted elements in the Madhes movement and implement the peace agreement.
