NSU cadres arrested

KATHMANDU: A few cadres of Nepal Student Union, a student wing of the major opposition Nepali Congress, were arrested from the Tribhuvan International Airport, for showing black flags to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who had returned home on Saturday after participating in the 49th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

NSU central member Sushil Bhatta, Niranjan Thapa, Subash Ghimire and Sudip Adhikari were arrested. The arrestees were later sent to Metropolitan Police Circle, Gausala, and then released.

NSU students had shown blag flags to the PM to protest against the medical education bill passed through the Parliament on Friday.
