NSU cadres to help youths
Kathmandu, July 25:
Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) has decided to mobilise its activists in rural areas to help in the growth of rural youths.
Speaking at a programme organised by the NSU today, CA member Minendra Rijal said development of rural areas must be accorded top priority.
“More than three lakh youths go for foreign employment every year. Quality education should be given to the youths to stop brain drain,” Rijal added.
At the programme, NSU urged the government to introduce the subject of computer education
at the secondary level. It urged the government to build infrastructure in every district to impart technical education to youths.
Talking about the waning interest of youths towards NSU, Rajiv Dhungana, a student leader, said youths should be mobilised in rural areas to address this problem. “Youth mobilisation is possible only when there are perfect educational programmes. The new generation should be given quality education so as to make them the master of their destiny,” Dhungana added.
