KATHMANDU: Police arrested an accountant of a company which was allegedly involved in illegal hundi transaction.

Bhimsen Sharma (30), from Baglung Municipality-2 of Baglung district, currently working at the Mahabouddha-based New Payal Impex, was nabbed on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division had raided the company.

Police also seized Rs 4.7 million cash, bank cheques and vouchers from the company.

The arrestee has been handed over to the Department of Revenue Investigation for further investigation and action.
