KATHMANDU: One person has been arrested in possession of various idols from Maruganesh in KMC-11, on Wednesday, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle New Road, raided the rented room of Dhana Kumari Bajracharya before recovering 82 idols yesterday.

Police said the artefacts might have been stolen from various temples in assorted locations in Kathmandu valley.

Meanwhile, police said further investigation into the case is underway.
