KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) said one person was injured after a Nissan jeep turned turtle on the road at Kamalpokhari of Imadol in Lalitpur district on Monday evening.

The accident took place due to brake failure of vehicle (Ba 4 Kha 1062) at around 8 pm, according to the MTPD.

Injured in the incident, Nagendra Shrestha of Mahottari and currently residing in Thaiba of Lalitpur was sent to the Imadol-based KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital for treatment.

Police have detained the jeep driver for interrogation.
