Panel fixes new school fee

KATHMANDU: The ninth meeting of the Central Monitoring Committee for the private schools today fixed a monthly tuition fee of Rs 1,090 for secondary level students in private school in Kathmandu district.

The fee, however, excludes computer and transportation fees.

“Fixation of fees for the secondary level was pending for about two months because of the disputes among the stakeholder,” said Suprabhat Bhandary, president of the Guardians’ Association Nepal.

The panel has already fixed a monthly fee of Rs 900 and Rs 800 for lower secondary and primary level students in private schools in the district.
