KATHMANDU: A person died after he was hit by a motorcycle in Min Bhawan of KMC-31 on Sunday night, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Dhurba Karki (50) of Dolakha district, currently residing in Baneshwar.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Ba 90 Pa 646) hit pedestrian Karki at 7:45 pm yesterday, injuring him.

The critically injured Karki was rushed to the Bansbari-based Neuro Hospital, however, he breathed his last during the course of treatment there, informed police.

Meanwhile, the Baneshwar-based Metroplitan Police Circle has impounded the two-wheeler and detained its driver for further investigation.
