KATHMANDU: A pedestrian was killed when a motorcycle hit him in Tinkune, KMC-35 on Thursday.

Identified as Mer Bahadur Basnet, the 55-year-old is a resident of Kandaghari, Kageshwori Manahara Municipality-13, police said.

Basnet had sustained injuries after the motorcycle (Ba 66 Pa 2914) hit him at a zebra crossing in front of Indraeni D Café. He breathed his last while being rushed to the New Baneshwor-based Civil Service Hospital for treatment.

Police have taken the motorcyclist under control and impounded the two-wheeler.
