KATHMANDU: A pedestrian died on the spot after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in front of the Shangri-La Hotel in Lazimpat of the Capital this morning.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, according to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD).

The white Toyota four-wheeler fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian in the mid-40s.

Police have launched an extensive search for the unidentified vehicle.
