Where humans and equines run the show together

More than 100 brick kilns run in the three districts in the Kathmandu Valley. Almost all of them depend on Nepali and Indian workers, who arrive here in the winter season after harvesting crops in their respective places for seasonal job. Besides human workforce, the brick kilns use equines -- horses , donkeys and mules -- also.

Our photojournalist Skanda Gautam visited a brick kiln on the outskirts of Lalitpur and captured some activities there in his lens.
