KATHMANDU: Speakers at a programme organised by Rastra Kalyan Shanti Aviyan 2061 on Tuesday appealed to all the sections of society to restore peace in the country. “We are going back by half a century due to violence,” said Bishnu Gopal Shrestha, coordinator of Rastra Kalyan Shanti Aviyan, the group formed to appeal to those involved in violence for establishing peace. The group will organise several programmes beginning with a demonstration at Basantapur on Thursday. “We believe that those involved in violence will be inspired to bring peace,” stated Shrestha. — HNS
