PM shares points of achievements of his China-visit at Parliament
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli addressed the House of Representatives today.
The Prime Minister briefed the meeting about the achievements of his recent state visit to People's Republic of China.
Addressing the house, PM Oli said that his China visit focused on various issues including taking Nepal-China relations to a new height and implementing past agreements.
Furthermore, Oli said that he held important talks with Chinese government to take the main agenda of the government, economic prosperity, ahead.
Oli remarked that the two countries reached an agreement on the issues of Trans-Himalaya multidimensional connectivity expansion, while also inking bilateral agreements on railways, expansion of road network, transmission line, etc. He highlighted that the railway-agreement was a milestone in the history of Nepal's progress.
PM Oli was formerly scheduled to brief the lower house about the China-visit on Monday. However, due to inadequate preparations, his address to house was postponed to Tuesday.
PM Oli had held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang, Chiefs of National People's Congress of China and government of Tibet, among others. Oli returned to Nepal on Sunday on completion of his six-day official visit to China.
