PM appoints Bishnu Rimal as political advisor
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bishnu Rimal has been appointed political advisor to the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
A Cabinet meeting held this afternoon made the decision to this effect, Rimal told THT Online over phone.
Rimal of Nuwakot district is a UML politburo member.
He also heads the UML's trade union, General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GeFONT).
Rimal was a member of the first Constituent Assembly.
Likewise, the Cabinet meeting held today appointed another UML leader Niru Devi Pal as public relation expert whereas Devendra Dahal as the political expert, according to Minister for Information and Communication Technology Sher Dhan Rai.
Economist Govinda Nepal has been appointed financial advisor to the Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel.
Meanwhile, the government also decided to provide a monthly financial assistance of Rs 30,000 to Ambar Gurung, music composer of the national anthem.
