PM casts vote in presidential election
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has cast his ballot in the presidential election today.
Talking to mediapersons after exercising his franchise, the PM shared that Cabinet would soon take full shape. "Discussions to this effect are underway with concerned political parties. The cabinet will be expanded soon."
He also said the government would make efforts to strengthen and institutionalise the federal democratic republic system, and ensure good governance and prosperity in the country. He also stressed the need for making constitutional bodies impartial and free of disputes.
Likewise, former Prime Minister and CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal cast his vote in the election. Talking to mediapersons after casting his vote, he too reiterated that the cabinet would be expanded within a day or two.
"The enforcement of the new constitution has been completed fundamentally, following completion of all three levels of elections — local, provincial and federal — and election of President. The people enthusiastically took part in the polls and onward. The country's journey will now be towards development and prosperity," Dahal was quoted as saying in Rastriya Samachar Samiti.
