Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has appointed Bishwadeep Pandey as his Youth and Social Development Expert ranking him the protocol equal to a government secretary.
A meeting of the Cabinet held yesterday decided to appoint Pandey as PM's Youth and Social Development expert.
Pandey who was close to former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai in the past, returned to the mother party-CPN-Maoist Centre this week.
He wrote in his Facebook post that he decided to return to the CPN-MC as there was a need for unity and collaboration between left forces to achieve the goals of good governance, prosperity and social justice.
