KATHMANDU, MARCH 3

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal held separate discussions today with CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba regarding the finalization of the transitional justice-related bill.

During the meetings, which took place at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, the PM addressed the bill concerning the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappeared Persons with the main opposition party, UML Chair, and the ruling partner, Nepali Congress President, as stated by Manohari Timilsina, the PM's press expert.

The bill, designed to amend the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappeared Persons Act, 2071, is currently under consideration by the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives.

The Committee is convening today to deliberate on the bill.
