KATHMANDU, MARCH 25

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed civil servants to discharge their duties with integrity. The PM pledged to ensure an environment conducive to any government employee working with good intentions.

During a regular meeting of government secretaries at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Monday, PM Dahal assured that he would shoulder any difficulties faced by civil servants during the execution of their respective duties. "(Officials) don't work under fear and terror of anyone. You have nothing to fear while working as per the law," the PM said.

On the occasion, PM Dahal stated that the government, following the new alliance, has emerged with new energy, thoughts, objectives, priorities, and action plans, instructing government officials to align their work accordingly.

"Politics and administration are inseparable parts of government. I am confident that you will work with more zeal and energy," the PM said, expressing gratitude to civil servants for their support thus far in his third stint as head of the government.

Reiterating that good governance is his foremost priority, the PM emphasized, "I will not do anything against the nation and law, and I am confident that you too will do the same."

During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted that the government's capital expenditure was not satisfactory until the third quarter of the current fiscal year.
