KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has formally apprised the party of his state visit to India, beginning from tomorrow.

In a meeting of the party central office that took place at his private residence in Lazimpat this morning, PM Dahal was urged not to sign any agreement against the national interests during the India visit.

During the meeting, he formally informed the meeting about the schedule and agenda of his visit, according to party Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal.

Party leaders present in the meeting wished for Dahal's successful India visit, calling upon him to focus his visit on further strengthening the bilateral ties.

The agenda of visit should be in line with the interests of the nation, the meeting stressed.

On the occasion, PM Dahal said  that the visit would be primarily a goodwill trip and he would do his best to focus it on the implementation of past deals and understandings reached between the two neighbours, as reported by Bhusal to media.

He said that India's help in the post-earthquake rebuilding drive, construction of a postal highway and implementation of a power trade agreement were some of the agendas of his visit to the southern neighbour, the party Spokesperson added.
