KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 31

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed his belief that the United Nations will assist Nepal in concluding the peace process.

In a brief conversation with the media following United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres' address to the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament earlier today, Prime Minister Dahal expressed confidence in the UN and the international community's continued support for Nepal's peace process. He stated, "The international community's and Secretary-General Guterres' view on Nepal's peace process is positive."

Similarly, Chairperson of the main opposition CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, appreciated Secretary-General Guterres' speech in the House regarding Nepal's peace process, poverty, climate change, and other issues.

He emphasized that UNSG Guterres has correctly assessed Nepal, and it's commendable to see developed countries helping nations like Nepal on issues such as climate change."
