PM Nepal to visit China
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is scheduled to pay an official visit
to the People’s Republic
of China at the end of
October.
A highly-placed source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today told this daily that the exact date, however, will be finalised after a consultation with the Chinese authorities.
This is going to be
the fourth foreign visit PM Nepal will embark on
after assuming the office in May. The PM had already visited India, US
and Egypt.
Meanwhile, Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala today apprised
the PM of her recent
China visit.
Likewise, State Minister for Home Affairs Rijwan Ansari is also scheduled to visit China from October 10 to 15. Deployment of Armed Police Force (APF) in the Nepal-China border figure out high on the agenda, the source added. The Home Ministry is planning to set up APF camps to contain anti-China activities in the bordering areas.
