PM Oli off to India

KATHMANDU: Leading a jumbo delegation, Prime Miniter KP Sharma Oli left Kathmandu for New Delhi of India on a six-day official visit on Friday.

PM Oli is accompained by his wife Radhika Shakya.

Similarly, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa, Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, Home Minister Shakti Basnet, along with secretaries of their respective ministries, media persons and representatives of the business community are also accompanying PM Oli.

During the visit, the head of the government is scheduled to hold official meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House on Saturday, February 20.

The Prime Minister will call on the Indian President, Pranab Mukherjee, and the Vice President, Mohammad Hamid Ansari also.

Meanwhile, President Bidya devi Bhandari assigned Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bijay Kumar Gachhadar to carry our daily administrative tasks of the PM in Oli's absence.

The decision was made as per recommendation from the Prime Minister, according to the President's Office.
