PM Oli seeks vote of confidence in Parliament

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday has sought the vote of confidence from House of Representatives.

Addressing the second meeting of HoR in Kathmandu after 24 days of being appointed as the prime minister of Nepal, PM Oli remarked that he has taken up the post of prime minister to usher positive changes in the country.

“Looking at my past and present, there are no reasons to distrust,” Prime Minister said. “Representatives from the opposition can also support the government.”

Moreover, Prime Minister Oli also clarified that the leftist government will not spare anyone involved in heinous crimes like rape.

Likewise, PM Oli has expressed commitment to ensure good governance, transparency and economic prosperity.

Similarly, CPN Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal urged the Oli-led government to adopt zero tolerance against corruption and take stern actions against corrupt people.

Similarly, former PM and CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has remarked that the people have high hopes of political stability, economic prosperity, peace and harmony from the leftist government.

Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Bijay Kumar Gachhadar said that NC would act as a responsible main opposition party in the Parliament. He clarified that NC would support the programmes put forth for economic development by the government.
