KATHMANDU, AUGUST 24

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan held discussions today aimed at further strengthening the bilateral relationship between Nepal and Vietnam.

The Vietnamese Vice President is currently on an official visit to Nepal.

During the meeting, held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, both leaders shared experiences and explored various avenues for enhancing their longstanding, amicable relations.

According to Prime Minister Oli's Chief Advisor, Bishnu Prasad Rimal, the talks focused on expanding cooperation at multiple levels, including government-to-government, business-to-business, and people-to-people exchanges, as well as in the diplomatic and cultural spheres.

Vice President Xuan arrived in Nepal on Friday at the invitation of Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, marking the historic occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Vietnam.

She is scheduled to return home on August 25 upon the conclusion of her visit.
