PM pledges press freedom

The Federation of Nepali Journalists today met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal
‘Prachanda’ at his office in Singha Darbar and extended congratulations to him on being elected as the first Prime Minister of Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
The delegation led by FNJ Vice-Chairman Govinda Acharya briefed the Prime Minster about the problems the agitating journalists of the Nepal One television have been facing and current media scenario in the country.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Prachanda assured the journalists’ team that the government was committed to protecting press freedom and extend every possible support for the professional growth of mediapersons.
