KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday honoured Maheshwor Maharjan, who had won a gold medal in the 50th Asian Body Building and Sports Championship held in Bhutan in September 2016 under 75 kilograms category.

Speaking at a programme organised by All Nepal Sports Association at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar, PM Dahal said the government was committed to trying its best for the development of sports.

The PM was of the view that developing sports would enhance physical and intellectual fields of youths along with raising prestige and self-respect.

Minister for Youth and Sports Daljit Sripaili was also present on the occasion.
