PM pledges cooperation with private sector

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal confirmed that the government under his premiership would collaborate with the private sector for the country's economic development.

Addressing a delegation from the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) at the PM’s official residence on Monday, PM Dahal stressed the need of cooperation between the government and the private sector for the economic development as the political change would not be institutionalised without economic progress.

Dahal also urged the industrialists to bring a work plan to effect increased employment opportunities.

According to the PM’s personal deputy secretary Manohar Timilsina, Dahal had also informed that the government was preparing to bring an effective action plan creating employment opportunities within the country so that youth would not be compelled to go abroad for employment.

During the meeting, NCC’s delegates led by President Rajesh Kazi Shrestha urged PM Dahal to forward the bills related to the annual budget announcement immediately, ease the supply management and control black marketing.

They also drew the government's attention to create an environment to promote trade, industry and investment.
