Police activities should be people-centric, says IGP Aryal
Kathmandu, February 26
Inspector General of Police Upendra Kant Aryal today said the activities of the police should be people-centric.
Addressing a special event organised in Bhaktapur to inaugurate two newly-constructed buildings of the Thimi-based Metropolitan Police Circle, he said, “The service to be provided by the MPR should be as beautiful and concrete as the buildings.
Police personnel should never be tired of helping the people in need wholeheartedly.” Police Commissioner AIGP Pratap Singh Thapa expressed confidence that the construction of new buildings would encourage police personnel to make more efforts to prevent and control crimes.
DIGP Krishna Prasad Guragain presented a report on the building construction and SP Kiran Bajracharya said the building would further boost the morale of police.
A three-storey office building and a four-storey residential building were constructed at the cost of Rs 31.5 million.
