Kathmandu, October 3:

Police seized three trucks of sand smuggled from the banks of the Bagmati river yesterday. Police said they seized four trucks (with plate numbers Ba 1 Kha 9291, Ba 1 Kha 7639, Ba 1 Kha 4603 and Ba 1 Kha 9428) for further investigation. In another incident, a group of four persons looted Rs 4,000 in cash from the house owned by Ishwor Bahadur Shrestha at Gauridhara, Kathmandu, yesterday.
